If we all enjoyed delicious bacon, then it wouldn't leave enough for the elite 1/10th of 1% to enjoy. There would be a bacon shortage.
I'm only half kidding.
Other than the fact that there's a bit too much salt in bacon, there's no real reason to not eat it.
There certainly aren't enough preservatives in it to hurt you.
And the biggest PRO about cooking bacon is that it provides us with the freshest-possible source of lard (AKA bacon grease), which is one of only four healthy fats (along with butter, tallow [AKA ground beef grease], and fish oil [from small fishes, such as sardines]).
